Denver or Bust !

I'm going to "borrow" the email below that was sent out by Don Leonard, Campaign Manager for Richard Hanna, and make a few "amendments" as appropriate.

DESTITO & ARCURI PARTY WHILE PEOPLE SUFFER BACK HOME

While farmers, working families and the elderly struggle more every week to pay their energy bills, RoAnn Destito & Mike Arcuri are jetting off to Denver to party at the Democratic National Convention with their party-boss cronies Nancy Pelosi, Charlie Rangel, Sheldon Silver, and Shmuck Shumer.

Ms. Destito, Mr. Arcuri, and the Albany, DC and San Francisco political bosses think people need to deal with their $6,000+ heating bills next winter by checking the air in their tires and riding non-existent trains and busses while it's ok for them and their friends to take the summer off to fly around the country and have fun.

While the price of gasoline has probably quadrupled since Ms. Destito took office, and there is no end in sight to these runaway cost increases, and Mr. Arcuri admits to the Syracuse Post-Standard that his party still has yet to define an energy policy!

Read the article about Mr. Arcuri's "party with the party" and his wish for an energy policy by clicking here.

Richard Hanna doesn't have to wish for an energy policy, he has one: America has billions of barrels of oil and gas right here at home and Mr. Arcuri's Congress needs to let us have it - drill here and drill now.

Kevin McDonald won't go to the State Assembly for two years and hope the political hacks will define policy.

And Kevin McDonald won't take time off to have fun while people are suffering.

If you agree with Kevin McDonald & Richard Hanna that America needs an energy policy that involves more than issuing tire pressure gauges then help elect them to office by donating to their campaigns!

You can donate to their campaigns and your generous support will help elect two men who will work for the families of New York vs. the Albany and Washington politicians!

Fundraisers Part Deux

We are told that the following Republicans were at RoAnn's fundraiser tonight:

County Executive Tony Picente
County Comptroller Joe Timpano
County Purchasing Director Mello Testa

Tisk, tisk gentleman.

But it's ok, I'm sure we'll see your names on McDonalds donor report, right?

Unless you were there on comp'd tickets that wouldn't leave a trace?

Here's a tip gentlemen . . . don't drive your own vehicles behind enemy lines.

A little something this trio might understand . . . qualcuno guarda sempre.

Cheerio!

Check Please . . .

It looks like there are more RoAnn "haters" out there than originally thought.

This is a bill from Club 21, the 'members only' club at the Turning Stone.
The bill is for 5 drinks + $20.00 tip = $85.00.

But the business name on the bill is. . .
- The Beeches of Rome Inc.
5218 Patrick Rd.
Verona, NY 13478

Wait a lick, doesn't RoAnn own the Beeches of Rome?

It takes alot of years in the family biz to get the business mind of a millionaire that she has and she must have some pretty influential friends in high (or is it low?) places to 'negotiate' a deal like this one.

We have to pay $5.00 for a gallon of orange juice and she's charging $13.00 a drink.

But no matter, I mean, I'm cool with the rich getting richer, aren't you?

ps: Hat tip to the "boy in blue " who sent this our way.

A Must Read Article

RoAnn, thanks for, ahem, having our backs/doing your best/looking out for us (insert yours here)....

A couple quotes from the article....

"Property taxes in New York have soared astronomically in recent years, jumping 60 percent from 1995 to 2005 - more than twice the rate of inflation. "

"...overall school spending in New York - up 68 percent from '95 to '05, also twice the rate of inflation. "

RoAnn was first elected in 1992, so we have her to thank for these steller results, and in general, for all of her hard work.

She's doing a bang up job!

Fundraisers

Tonight is Kevin McDonald's fundraiser at the Elk's Lodge in Utica, starts at 5:00.

Tomorrow night is RoAnn Destito's at 12 North, starts at 4:30.

It'll be interesting to know who will be attending...and who won't. I'm sure she told some of the high-ranking elected officials to be busy tonight "meeting with constituents" and to have a window in their calenders tomorrow night, say, around 4:30. I imagine they'll do as their told, or else...

Sorrily, I missed both invitations, but I'd love to hear who made appearances at each.

Enquiring minds want to know....email me.

* * * * UPDATE * * * *
We've gotten a couple emails and apparently there was quite a showing at the McDonald fundraiser last night.

Not everyone did as they were told.....
